Hambleton District Council have announced that their long-awaited draft Local Plan will be open for consultation to the public on 23rd July 2019. The documents must go before the Cabinet before the process can formally commence.
The publication draft which is available online shows that a small number of sites have been put forward as draft allocations. Many of the previously preferred sites have been dismissed which is largely down to a re-calculation of the housing numbers required in the district and will result in far fewer new homes than previously anticipated.
The public consultation, as with any Local Plan consultation, will be met by public scrutiny and Lister Haigh’s professional team in the Planning and Development department will be monitoring this and preparing representations on behalf of landowners affected by the Council’s decision.
