LOCATION
The woodland lies in a sheltered setting approximately 1½ miles to the west of the village of Spofforth, 1 mile east of Kirkby Overblow, 4 miles south of Harrogate and 4 miles west of Wetherby. The woodland lies approximately 70 metres above sea level.

DESCRIPTION
The woodland extends in total to approximately 7.07 acres (2.86 ha) and lies in a regular shaped block immediately to the north of Park Beck. Access is gained over Park Lane running from Spofforth.

The woodland comprises a mix of semi mature softwood including larch and pine which is interspersed with hardwood trees of both mature and semi mature and young saplings. These comprise self-seeded sycamore, beech, elder and some oak.

The woodland is not subject to any Environmental or Woodland Grant Scheme but may be eligible for funding under the Forestry Commission Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

DIRECTIONS
From Harrogate proceed south on the A661 toward Wetherby. On entering the village of Spofforth turn left at the mini roundabout and then turn right onto Park Lane. Proceed along Park Lane which turns into a gravel track and continue straight on passing Fox Heads Farm, High Lane turns sharp right and drops down over Park Beck and the woodland can be found immediately on the right hand side before reaching Parks Farm.

The sporting rights are included in the sale. Please note that a shooting syndicate has been utilising the woodland over recent years, releasing game birds within the woods. The purchaser will have the option to continue or cease this following completion.
