November Residential Market Update

Back to news

According to Rightmove, the price of property coming to market is up by an average of 1.1% on the previous month. The Property Price Index has recorded an increase in October every year since it started back in 2001, but this month’s is the largest since the 1.4% rise seen in 2014. However, with more sellers chasing fewer buyers, this month’s new-to-market sellers will have to work harder to find a buyer before Christmas, laying emphasis on choosing the right estate agent!!

Since the last residential market update, the team at Lister Haigh have continued to build upon the success that was seen in the first half of the year. Successful sales have been achieved across a diverse range of properties. One standout performance came in the form of a three bedroom semi-detached property in Knaresborough, which had a sale agreed over asking price within one week of going live to the market!  Due to the diverse marketing which can be offered throughout our three regional offices, we have buyers waiting for town and country property across Yorkshire.

We are further pleased to welcome Ben Roberts to the Residential Sales team based in our Knaresborough offices. Ben has been successfully working for a nationally recognised  estate agency throughout Harrogate and Wetherby for the past 3 years and brings with him a wealth of experience with which he is hoping will help build upon our recent success throughout Yorkshire.

As a company and individuals, we are committed to the successful sale of property and achieving the best possible result. If you require any marketing advice, do not hesitate to contact Lister Haigh to book your free market appraisal!
