DEFRA Launches Farming In Protected Landscapes

This programme under the Agricultural Transition Plan opened on 1st July to all farmers and land managers located in National Parks, AONBs and the Norfolk Broads and runs to March 2024.  It will support projects which target local priorities, provide value for money and meet one of the outcomes in the following four themes:

Climate: CO2 sequestration, reduce flood risk, climate change resilience

Nature: greater wildlife rich habitat, greater connectivity between habitats, better managed existing or increased biodiversity

People: more opportunities to enjoy and understand the landscape and engage in land management

Place: quality and character of landscape is enhanced , historic features, thriving local economy

The programme is to work alongside DEFRA’s new and existing schemes, not in competition with them, so people with existing agreements can apply. If you are interested in the programme, then please contact our team on 01423 860322.
