Extra Money For Farmers

At the Oxford Farming Conference on 5th January 2023, DEFRA Farming Minister, Mark Spencer announced that farmers will receive increased payments for protecting and enhancing nature and delivering sustainable food production under the Government’s Environmental Land Management Schemes from 1st January 2023.

• Countryside Stewardship revenue payments are to rise by an average of 10%
• Capital payments are to rise by an average of 48%
• It is understood that there will be no change to the HLS payments
