Financial Support and Environmental Schemes for Farming Businesses

Back to news

With the ‘Delinking’ of Basic Payment (BPS) from the use of land, the 15th May only remains as a deadline for Countryside Stewardship (CS) revenue claims in 2024.

The money previously spent on BPS is now available for CS Capital grants for water quality items, air quality items and also boundaries. These have a rolling application window as does the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. This scheme is more flexible than Countryside Stewardship with a 3 year term, many options being rotational and allowing annual reviews to both amend the options and add land to an agreement.

Our team is experienced in advising on the most appropriate options for each business and if you are interested, please get in touch with Catherine, Sam or James at the Knaresborough office on 01423 860322 or email knaresborough@listerhaigh.co.uk
