Regional Road Scheme Update – Compensation

Work is due to start this Summer on the upgrade of a number of major junctions on the A6120 Leeds Outer Ring Road which will link to the proposed East Leeds Orbital Road (ELOR), the construction of which is programmed for late 2019.

Elsewhere Highways England are considering dualling the A64 between Hopgrove roundabout and Barton le Willows. Highways England are currently considering a number of route options. We understand it is intended to hold a public consultation later in the year.

The A1237 York Northern Ring Road works are underway to upgrade the remaining roundabouts to try and alleviate traffic congestion.

With regard to other compensation matters, the utility companies are continually replacing and upgrading their infrastructure some of which is located in privately owned land. Examples of work include replacing, relining and in some cases diverting water and sewer pipes and refurbishing pylons and overhead lines.
