Lizzy Foster recently joined our firm as a Graduate Rural Surveyor after four years studying at Harper Adams University. From a farming family in York, Lizzy had a strong agricultural upbringing which urged her to study Rural Property Management; this included a placement year in Milton Keynes, where she gained a wealth of practical experience from planning applications to valuations. For her final year dissertation, Lizzy undertook research that explored the role women play on farms in North Yorkshire and the skills they have that influence UK agriculture.
After four long years of hard work, and play, Lizzy successfully graduated with a 2:1 and returned to North Yorkshire in search of a graduate job. At Lister Haigh, Lizzy will be working alongside our rural team and is involved in a range of professional work including valuations, sales, planning and development and agricultural consultancy matters, Lizzy will also be attending auctions at Wharfedale Farmers Auction Mart, so be sure to say hello!
When not at work, Lizzy is an avid bee keeper (in training) and can be found inspecting her honey bees at home, or walking with her terrier, Oscar. Lizzy aims to sit her professional exams next year to become a fully qualified chartered surveyor.
