Hambleton proposing to delay Local Plan

Back to news

Next week Hambleton District Council will be deciding whether or not to accept a recommendation to delay their next round of consultation for their emerging Local Plan until April 2018. The publication version of the Draft Local Plan was originally due to be consulted on this Autumn.

This is the result of the government proposing a new methodology for calculating housing supply and the Council need more time to consider the implications.

This delay provides more time for sites to be put forward by landowners and developers that have potential for housing and employment development for consideration as site allocations within the new Local Plan. If you think you may have some land with development potential and would like advice, then please contact either Giles Chaplin or Zoe Harrison on 01423 860322.
